Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Enrolled in or plan to enroll in an EHS related program in an institute of higher learning

Desire to learn and grow your career in the EHS field with a local manufacturing company Ability to work as part of a team Excellent communication skills

 

Experience:

Basic knowledge of OSHA, EPA (DEQ), AQMD, and other government regulations; local, state and federal.

 

Special Skills:

Must demonstrate ability to follow written and verbal instructions with little or no supervision

Basic computer and organizational skills a plus, such as MS Word and Excel.

Must be detail oriented

 

PAY SCALE: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Responsibilities

Primary Function:

Assist with the implementation and continued development of EHS compliance, risk analysis, and injury prevention in the manufacturing operations.

 

Essential Functions:

 

· Assist in the development of EHS documents to be implemented into programs, policies, and procedures

· Assist in the development, implementation and management of safety training programs, policies, and procedures.

· Update existing EHS programs, policies, and procedures.

· Maintain document system for environmental and safety files (hardcopy and electronic).

· Identify hazardous conditions/actions within plant and recommend corrective measures.

· Assist in the development and distribution of Risk Assessments and Tool Box Talks.

· Perform any other duties and special projects as assigned or established by the EHS Manager.
